Le but de cette journée est de montrer à tous que nous sommes jolie sans maquillage. Allez les filles, osez pour au moins une journée!!
A DAY WITHOUT MAKEUP!
Today ladies is the day without makeup! Yes, forget about your beauty kit and go for the natural look. The event is an initiative of Canal Vie and Elle Québec and this year the theme is ”Beautiful otherwise.” The purpose of this day is to show everyone that we are pretty without makeup. Come on girls, dare for at least a day!
Ce mercredi, le 17 avril 2013, aux Foufounes électrique se tiendra la première du film “The Deathwish Video”! Avec des performances montréalaises, dont notamment celles de Tommy Cruise, Bearmace et The Goat, UNE SOIRÉE QUE VOUS NE VOULEZ PAS MANQUER!

This Wednesday, April 17th, 2013, at Foufounes électrique will be The Deathwish Video premiere! With performances by Montreal’s Tommy Cruise, Bearmace, and Andrew Reynolds’ The Goat, THIS IS A NIGHT YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS!
PLUS! There will be a signing of the Deathwish boys themselves, including Neen Williams, Moose, and Lizard King, at the Empire Montreal (251, Ste-Catherine O.) store location starting at 4pm.

Flaunt It a tenu sa 5ème et dernier arrêt de la tournée canadienne ce week-end au Mont Saint-Sauveur, Québec. Les filles ont eu des conditions de printemps merveilleux avec un cours varié qui répondait à tous les niveaux. Il y avait trois étages de rails assortis et deux étages de sauts avec trois différentes options de taille.
Tamara Truchon de Québec était en feu ce week-end. Elle s’est rendue première en slopestyle, remportant 700$ et un voyage à la finale de la Sierra-at-Tahoe. De plus Truchon a été la première dans le rail jam, et elle a remporté le Best Trick Dakine avec un “frontside 360″. Eve Liberté de Blainville est arrivé deuxième, et de St Sauveur locale Sam Rudinsky a finit en troisième.
Le rail jam se termina avec deux modules pour les filles à choisir; une boîte longue et plate et un “down rail”. Truchon a pris la première place dans le rail jam avec un “frontside 50-50 à 180″ sur le “down rail”. Camille Bellavance de la ville de Québec a pris la deuxième position et Laliberté est arrivée en troisième position.
Le style de Natasha Hébert méritait le “Nixon Style Award”. Et j’ai réussi à remporter le “VonZipper Ragdoll Award” avec un “reverse taco” douloureux!
Loon Mountain, NH, USA, est le dernier arrêt de la tournée avant les finales à Sierra-at-Tahoe!

BILLABONG FLAUNT IT: LA BELLE PROVINCE – CARO
Flaunt It held its 5th and final Canadian stop of the tour this past weekend at Mont Saint Sauveur, Quebec. The girls had wonderful spring conditions with a diverse course that catered to all levels. There were three rail decks with an assortment of rail features and two jump decks with three different sized jump options.
Tamara Truchon from Quebec City was on fire this weekend winning first in slopestyle, taking home $700 and a trip to the finals at Sierra-at-Tahoe. Additionally Truchon was first in the rail jam, and took home the Dakine Best Trick with a stylish front 360. Eve Liberte from Blainville came in second, and St Sauveur local Sam Rudinsky finished off in third.
The rail jam ended the day with two features for the girls to choose from; a long flat box and a round handrail. Truchon took first place in the rail jam with a frontside 50-50 to 180 out on the handrail. Camille Bellavance from Quebec City held down second place and Laliberte came in third.
Natasha Hebert’s style merited the Nixon Style award winning a set of Nixon RPM Headphones and TPS Speakers. And I managed to win the VonZipper Ragdoll award with a painful reverse taco!
Loon Mountain, NH is last stop on the tour before the Flaunt It Finals at Sierra-at-Tahoe!

GILLIAN ANDREWSHENKO: 2ND PLACE AT THE SHOWCASE SHOWDOWN! – CARO
Our girl out west, Gillian Andrewshenko, has done it again, coming in 2nd place at the 16th annual Showcase Showdown, in Whistler, B.C.!!!
At this year’s zombie-inspired event, she was up against some solid riders, including Breanna Stangeland, a 60-foot jump, and some unfavourable weather patterns. However, this didn’t stop her from making us proud out east :) Way to go Gillian!
Au début du mois de février j’ai eu l’opportunitée à participer à la deuxième édition annuelle du “People’s Republic of Hurley 2013”, à Huntington Beach, en Californie. Cet événement consiste en une journée complète d’ateliers en connaissance des produits sur les collections actuelles et futures, des conseils merchandising, compagnie Q & A, une visite de leurs établissements, et beaucoup plus!
À l’arrivée à Hurley International, Bob Hurley lui-même et surfer professionnel Julian Wilson, étaient là pour accueillir les quelques 120 participants d’entre nous des magasins en Amérique du Nord. Nous avons passé une bonne partie de la journée à se connaître, de créer nos propres produits Hurley et oeuvres d’art, l’apprentissage de leurs éco-projets (H2O), l’enregistrement d’une chanson (ce qui ne devrait jamais être écouter :P), et même lutter dans des costumes de sumo!

PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF HURLEY 2013 – CARO
At the beginning of February, I had the opportunity to attend the second annual People’s Republic of Hurley 2013, in Huntington Beach, California. This event consists of a full day of product knowledge workshops on current and future collections, merchandising tips, company Q&A, a tour of their facilities, and so much more!
Upon arrival to Hurley International, Bob Hurley himself and professional surfer Julian Wilson, were there to greet some 120 of us attendees from board shops throughout North America. We spent much of the day getting to know one another, creating our own Hurley products and artwork, learning about their eco-projects (H2O), recording our very own song (which no one should ever have to listen to :P), and even wrestled in sumo suits!

Une de nos rideuse, Gillian Andrewshenko, était dans l’Est pour la 7e édition de la compétition Billabong Flaunt It à Blue Mountain en Ontario. En venant en 5e à la compétition de slopestyle, Gillian nous fait fière avec fait avec son style fluide et son esprit de compétition!
Assurez-vous de vous inscrire tôt pour l’édition québécoise, qui se tiendra au Mont-Saint-Sauveur, le dimanche 10 mars.

Our very own team rider Gillian Andrewshenko was out east for Billabong’s 7th annual all girls competition Flaunt It, at Blue Mountain in Ontario. Coming in 5th in the slopestyle competition, Gillian made us proud with her smooth style and competitive drive!

Roxy Ride Days, c’est une tournée d’entraînement en planche d’une journée complète, pour filles seulement, où les planchistes peuvent améliorer leurs talents dans les parcs et en montagne à l’aide d’entraîneurs et de pros de chez Roxy.
Que tu sois débutante en parc, prête à faire son premier saut, ou planchiste de montagne expérimentée, même à pic, les Roxy Ride Days sont parfaits pour ton niveau et tes objectifs. C’est une journée super le fun (et super enrichissante) au parc et en montagne!
Les sessions d’entraînement sont réparties entre le parc et la montagne le matin, et sont suivies d’un mini-concours l’après-midi. Les sauts et le temps de vol t’intéressent? On a une session pour ça! Tu préfères te concentrer sur les rails et les boîtes? On a une session pour ça aussi ! Tu veux tout essayer? C’est simple… Partage ton temps! La journée, c’est à toi: choisis ce qui t’intéresse :)

ROXY RIDE DAYS: FEBRUARY 23, 2013
The Roxy Ride Days are a 1-day all-girl snowboard camp series where female riders can progress their park and all-mountain skills with professional coaches and Roxy pro riders. Whether you are a beginner park rider hitting your first jump or a solid all mountain rider with cliffy skills, the Roxy Ride Days will suit your level of riding and goals. It’s a fun and progressive day out on the mountain and in the park!
Coaching sessions are divided between all mountain and park in the morning and a mini contest in the afternoon. Interested in jumps and air time? Join the jump session! Only want to focus on rails and boxes? Join the jib session! Want to try it all? Split your time! The day is open for you to work on whatever your flavor of riding is.
